    Optimum Online Internet Service

    Optimum Online is the ISP subsidiary of Cablevision Systems Inc., a New York-based cable company serving customers in New York City, Long Island, and parts of New Jersey and Connecticut.

    Together with its sister company, Lightpath, Optimum Online is the primary cable ISP in America's largest metropolitan area. It has a total of 1.8 million subscribers, giving it a nationwide market share of 1.9%.

    The company offers bandwidth of 15.0 Mbps downstream and 2 Mbps upstream at a cost of between $44 and $49 per month. Download speeds can be doubled to 30.0 Mbps for an additional monthly charge of $14.95.
